February Volunteer Highlight: Provo

February Volunteer Highlight: Provo

Each month, the Collective will feature a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution from one of the Bicycle Collective's four locations.

Jenn is among the most steadfast and committed volunteers that Provo Bicycle Collective has ever had. Already in 2022 she has volunteered 62 hours, which amounts to about 22 bikes being fixed by her talented and giving hands. Occasionally she'll bring in one of her kids to help out, which is fun for everyone around. Here are some questions answered by Jenn:

How did you get involved with the Collective?
I somehow found out about the Collective in 2015. I volunteered at the end of that year or the beginning of 2016. I’ve volunteered off and on (heavy on the off) since then.

What do you enjoy most about the Collective?
The kindness of everyone. I felt nervous to ask questions at first but everyone was always very kind, helpful, and supportive.

How has cycling has impacted your life?
Biking has given me better health, and some great memories with my family and friends. E-bike rides with my kids stand out. It’s a blast.

What are some of your other hobbies?
I play women’s flag football every year against BYU students. They usually smoke our older team, but it’s so fun.

Thank you, Jenn, for the enormous contribution to our organization!
