Casey Carrigan

Mechanic & Open Shop Manager

A serendipitous hiring through Americorps VISTA in 2010 moved Casey from the suburbs of western New York to the quiet of Colorado’s San Juan mountains, where he coordinated outreach for the Lake Fork Valley Conservancy, founded a community garden non-profit, and discovered the many ways one can play in the vast expanse of the American west. Casey moved to SLC in August 2015, and began volunteering at the Bicycle Collective within a few weeks. Interested in literature, geography, planning, and their interactions with social and environmental issues, Casey is excited to tumble deeper down the rabbit hole of bicycle knowledge.
