Vanessa Helton
Vanessa (she/her) is the Location Director for Bicycle Collective’s Ogden shop. She brings a background in operations, retail, logistics, and nonprofit work, along with a deep appreciation for transportation as a form of access and stability.
There was a period in her life when a bicycle was not recreation, but a necessity. Vanessa relied on her bike to travel 12–14 miles a day while working multiple jobs, an experience that shaped how she thinks about transportation as a critical connection to employment, independence, and stability. She later spent several years as a long-haul Class A driver, gaining firsthand experience with large-scale transportation systems and the ways they impact people’s daily lives.
Her work across industries has focused on improving systems, supporting frontline teams, and strengthening connections between organizational decision-making and real-world impact. She is especially interested in creating environments where people feel supported, valued, and able to thrive.
Vanessa holds an MBA and is interested in continuing her studies in organizational behavior. She is passionate about building organizations that prioritize both operational effectiveness and human well-being.
Outside of work, Vanessa runs a freelance photography business and spends time with her cat, Henry— who traveled with her to 47 states in a semi-truck.
