Bicycle Collective is powered by the efforts of our volunteers. Each of our locations has their own intrepid crew, and each location has their own unique way of engaging with the local community, from our New Hub and headquarters in downtown Salt Lake City, to up north in Ogden, to down south in St. George. New for 2026, we will be rolling out a volunteer management system called POINT with vastly improved experiences to help make it easier for volunteers to get involved and contribute to our mission. Volunteer in Ogden

Our Ogden Location has many opportunities for folks with all levels of experience, from none at all, to master mechanic, as well as seasonal Bike Valet shifts at popular community events. For all volunteer inquiries and questions, please email Michael at mhernandez@bicyclecollective.org

Volunteer in Salt Lake City

Volunteering is a great way to hone new skills, get a little dirty, meet cool cycling folk, and have a direct positive impact on our community. Our volunteers are primarily helping us fix up kid and adult bikes for future give-aways, and helping keep the shop clean and organized. We currently prioritize experienced volunteers: but no prior mechanical knowledge is needed--we'll get you trained up in no time. And if you don't want to wrench, but love what we do and want to be involved, come volunteer under our general shop volunteer shift, or come pitch an idea to us! Volunteer in St. George

Current opportunities to volunteer in St. George include Beginner Volunteer positions (help organize parts bins, assist in organizing the shop, help process donations, and other daily duties). Beginners can work their way up to working on kids bikes after a few shifts. Volunteer Mechanic positions are reserved for those with previous bicycle mechanic experience, and will start out working on kids bikes, then graduate up to working on adult giveaway bikes.
