Community Classes

Our Salt Lake City location offers an ongoing menu of classes which are free to all current volunteers and members. Taught in a classroom setting by an experienced staff member or core volunteer, each week covers essential bike maintenance topics. Space is limited, so make sure to register in advance by clicking the button below.

Upcoming community classes

Come learn more about bicycle maintenance and repair in a non-intimidating and supportive space. Registration is required, and space is limited to 10 participants.

The following classes are open to the General Public:

  • April 9: Fix-A-Flat (Tubed & Tubeless)
  • April 16: Basic Bike Maintenance
  • April 23: Travel By Bike (commuting, touring, packing)

The following classes are reserved for Bicycle Collective Members & Volunteers:

  • May 7: Brakes- rim brake fundamentals
  • May 14: Brakes- disc brake fundamentals
  • May 21: Drivetrains, Part 1
  • June 4: Drivetrains, Part 2
  • June 11: Bearings
  • June 18: Wheel Truing

    All classes are Thursday evenings, from 6:15 PM to 8:00 PM, in the upstairs classroom space. Don't forget to register in advance to ensure availability!
